A proposed multi-storey apartment complex for Territory seniors may not go ahead without government support, Council of the Ageing NT says, amid high costs for a rezoning application before a proper development application can be heard.
COTA said it wants to demolish its Smith St office and build the 69-unit rental building to provide NT seniors with a home that would have two beds each – with the extra room for a carer or visiting family – and be leased at a subsidised rate for pensioners.
Your would assume that the NT Government, its senior bureaucrats would be behind this 100%
