NT Police are still trying to determine the identities of six people killed in a crash between a 4WD and a road train near Pine Creek on Friday, with up to four of those in the car believed to be children, Police Commissioner Michael Murphy said.
Mr Murphy was speaking on Mix 104.9 radio on Monday morning about the crash on the Stuart Hwy, which happened about 4.15pm on Friday, roughly 12km south of Pine Creek, where a Mitsubishi Pajero is believed to have collided with a road train towing three trailers laden with mangoes, causing a massive fire.
