  1. I hope he knows a good lawyer!

  2. I guess you could argue that he was in the process of handing himself into police and simply forgot to get out of the car first

  3. Many long term NTG Judges, barristers, lawyers & politicians are just white collar criminals who protect each other, along with the drug mules who supply white powder. By colluding with Darwin mainstream media who eat, drink & sleep with other they act like the Mafia by publishing cancel culture/click-bait articles to publically smear anyone who challenges their systemic corruption. Without NT Independent this story would have been buried.

  4. Tippett knows what the NT playbook is to get off with NO CONVICTION RECORDED: drag former NT DPP Rex Wild into Court with a glowing character reference and NT Judges will fawn all over him. Search online for one of Tippett’s previous clients who got off with a double cocaine charge while a practising NT lawyer – and who still is, as there was no disciplinary action for him – Matt Hubber. NT Judge Sarah McNamara couldn’t have kissed Rex’s ring any more if she’s tried.

It’s a similar headline: ‘Prominent Darwin lawyer Matthew Hubber pleads guilty to possessing cocaine’

    From the ABC website:

“I accept this matter itself will attract attention and that will be a sort of punishment,” she said.

Judge McNamara added the “mortification” and “embarrassment” would “significantly deter you from reoffending in the future”.

A conviction was not recorded and Hubber was sentenced to a 12-month good behaviour bond set at $1,000.

The court heard the matter was under consideration by the NT Law Society.

Talk about having friends in the right places!

The punishment was the embarrassment after being caught. Now that’s Justice folks!

I wonder how many blackfellas had NO CONVICTION RECORDED on their drug charges?
