NT Police are calling for witnesses to help find “two youths” allegedly involved in an overnight crime spree across Darwin and Palmerston that saw them crash a car into a fence outside a home in Anula.
Police media said “a number” of unlawful entries and a stolen vehicle were reported overnight Sunday, but did not provide an accurate figure.
Between 8pm and 12am, police allege a white Toyota Hilux was stolen from a Marrara home and used to commit a break and enter at a commercial business in Bakewell around 12:20 am.
The same vehicle was later crashed into a fence outside the Anula home on Yanyula Dr at around 1am, police said, and it’s understood no one was hurt.
“Two youths were allegedly seen leaving the scene on foot,” said Senior Sergeant Mark Bland.
“We are calling for anyone who witnessed any of the described incidents or who has dash-cam footage to make contact with police on 131 444. Please quote reference 9759335.”
A similar crime spree last week was committed by five youths, with the majority of the offenders out on bail. They were later arrested in Nightcliff and were set to appear in court late last week.
