NT Police are looking for a Caucasian man dressed in a black shirt, shorts and shoes who they believe has information about a suspicious fire that occurred on Cavenagh Street in Darwin at 6:30am on June 26.
Police issued a statement Monday morning but did not say why they were searching for the man six months after the incident.
Back in June, a fire caused extensive damage in an unoccupied building on Cavenagh Street which authorities said originated in a business on the first floor of a two-storey building understood to be the Chin Arcade near the corner of Knuckey Street.
Police said the man of interest is aged 18 to 25, and was wearing a black button-up shirt with black shorts and sneakers.
“Anyone who knows of the man’s identity is urged to make contact on 131 444. Please quote reference number 10043636,” said Detective Sergeant Annette Cooper.
“You can also make an anonymous report through Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.”
