Police search for taxi robbery suspect two months after alleged crime

Police are searching for a suspect who allegedly robbed a taxi driver in Woodroffe nearly two months ago.

It was not explained why police are only searching for the man in his 20s now.

Police media manager Rob Cross said at around 8:30 pm on Monday February 15, 2021 a taxi driver was approached by a male on Altair Court who “allegedly challenged” the driver and stole a mobile phone and an undisclosed amount of money.

“CCTV cameras within the taxi captured vision of the offender, who is described as being tall, Aboriginal, aged in his 20s with sparse facial hair,” Mr Cross said in a statement.

“He was wearing a singlet, camouflage baseball cap, and a black and white bum bag.”
