Northern Territory Police are calling for information about an alleged assault on a woman who took herself to Alice Springs Hospital with a serious stomach cut earlier this month.

Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Toby Wilson said that around 8:30pm on Friday December, 2, the 60-year-old woman went to the hospital with the stomach wound. He said she has since been discharged from hospital.

He said the Alice Springs Criminal Investigations Branch have been investigating the alleged assault and were seeking public assistance, especially from anyone who was in the the area of Bloomfield St between the hours of 6pm and 9pm, who may have dash-cam footage.
