A crime spree across Palmerston on Wednesday night resulted in numerous commercial properties being broken into, grog stolen from a supermarket and windows at a school smashed out, NT Police said.

Police are calling for witnesses to contact them with any information related to the spree which started around 1am when a group of people broke into a store at a shopping centre in Roseberry.

Police said shortly after a group of six people broke into a supermarket on Crosby Street in Zuccoli where they made off with “a quantity of alcohol”.

“A small white vehicle, possibly a Toyota Rav4, was observed in the area that is of interest to police,” said Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Bland.

Police said they believed another incident involving windows smashed at a school on Farrar Blvd is related to the group.

They currently have a 16 and 17-year-old in custody who are “currently assisting police with their enquiries”.

“Strike Force Trident detectives have made two arrests and are continuing to review CCTV,” Sgt Bland said.

“We are calling for further information from the public. If you witnessed any of the described incidents or have mobile or dash-cam footage please contact police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000. Please quote reference 9768593.”
