Police calling for videos and photos of carpark fight after soccer game

NT Police are calling for witnesses videos and photos of a fight in a carpark after a Women’s Premier League match at Marrara on Sunday evening.

Strike Force Lyra Detective Sergeant Caragh Hen said it appeared a dispute between players following the game escalated to violence and several women are alleged to have been assaulted in the car park outside the stadium.

The NT News had reported it was a game between between Hellenic and Port Darwin.

“There were no serious injuries and no indication that this was a racially or religiously motivated crime,” Sgt Hen said, “We understand there were several witnesses, including people who may have filmed the incident, or parts of it.”

Sgt Hen said they were looking for people with video or photos of the fight to come forward.
