Police are calling for information about an assault on a woman which put her in hospital with serious injuries, but they did not say when and exactly where it happened, or give a description of the alleged offender.
Northern Territory Police media manager Rob Cross said in a statement on Monday night, the 32-year-old woman was assaulted in her Woodroffe house on the weekend and was still in Royal Darwin Hospital with serious injuries.
There was no other information provided but police did not say if that was because they did not know when it happened or what the alleged offender looked like.
A Woodroffe resident told the NT Independent detectives had been door knocking in the area on Monday afternoon asking if they had heard a woman screaming on Sunday night or over the weekend.
While another resident said the assault happened in Zenith Circuit.
“They want a witness but that house was eerily silent more often then not,” they said.
