Owning a dangerous animal in the Northern Territory will be made easier under proposed regulations introduced by the Finocchiaro CLP Government, after one man told them they should let more people get involved in pet crocodile ownership.
The proposed regulations in the “Dangerous Animal Guideline – Crocodiles as Pets”, which has been put out for Territorians to comment on until next month, comes as Victoria moves to ban crocodiles as pets and develop a “fit and proper person test” for all wildlife licences.
As a Darwin born and bred Territorian I despair at these diversionary policies being implemented as a diversionary attempt to discuss the important matters that need to be dealt with in the Northern Territory.
