Am i right in thinking , from all the Media reports, The current Chief Minister has dropped the ball on the election promises whilst focusing on the important stuff, namely:
(a) Her Father in Law got a Order of Australia Medal (which the last CLP administration did not organize one for him during their 4 year one term mess.)
(b) Lucrative board positions for husbands of now chummy Media personalities!
(c) Unbelievably lucrative Water Front board positions for Hubby during the last CLP reign and Labor did not do a clean out of the Waterfront Board over the last 8 years????? Unheard of. I remember the NT NEWS ,when they had balls and would attack the government, ran a week of stories on this controversial appointment issue about hubbys appointment to the role, overlooking some southern “Heavy Hitters” with real experience with real waterfronts down south, who made the mistake of applying for Darwin roles!
(d) What? Father In Law Denis Burke was/is a lobbyist for Darwins then biggest builder while sitting on the all important Development Consent Board???? Where in civilized Australia does that happen?
(e) Public Parks are filling up with itinerants, rubbish and faeces! Its never been this bad! What used to be groups of 2 or 3 are now like 15 -20! The corresponding Police call outs and City of Darwin Call outs are not free.
(f) The Jail is beyond capacity! The CLP may want to be perceived as attacking crime but the wet behind the ears cabinet did not think about where to house the eager punters and how many staff that may take!
(g) The God Awful ICAC and the Superb Auditor General office have been deliberately starved of resources…..
(h) Royal Darwin Hospital is dangerously understaffed, has brand new ,recently graduated international students as nurses and PCA’s. Good luck with your survival rate at that place!
(i) Ministers who have been in Parliament for 4 years+ in some form, dont know their legal and ethical obligations about accepting gifts from friends??? Even after the Natasha Fyles/Chance Peach disasters?
(j) Instead of reducing Labors $11 Billion in debt, the CLP leadership want to increase it to $15 Billion?
(k) Whats the rumour about the CLP being a Dictatorship, the new ,wet behind the ears MLA’s dont open their mouth without someone’s divine authority?? When did we last hear this statement?? Was it from Kenny Vowles?
