Money is paid via membership fees and the members receive at best lacklustre treatment! Countless examples of Unions saying to their members “Theres nothing we can do”! Those members via lawyers of IR consultants go and get payouts from the employer! Do not assume you!
Absolutely support health workers rights to fair pay and working conditions , both hospitals are deliberated under resourced….
BUT both hospitals are in CODE YELLOW, this union action is an attack on ALL TERRITORIANS and quite inappropriate at this time.
Terrotorians should be raising their voices at government, our hospital workers deserve public support.
