Two Territorians suffered serious burns at work in separate incidents last month while refuelling petrol-powered pressure cleaners, prompting a safety alert from the workplace safety watchdog.
NT WorkSafe reported that the first incident occurred at a worksite in the Coomalie Shire, where a worker was refuelling a pressure washer that had run dry. During the process, petrol from a 20-litre Jerry Can ignited, leading to significant burn injuries and damage to the equipment.
