A firearms dealer in his 80s has had more than 240 guns and various gun parts seized by police for alleged multiple breaches of the NT Firearms Act, which followed a loaded revolver discharging while police were inspecting it, NT Police said.
The NT Police’s Firearms Audit and Enforcement Unit attended the man’s property in Kakadu National Park on September 9, to conduct a dealership audit and compliance check when they discovered the alleged breaches.
I really hope police release the body worn video of of the cop “manipulating” the gun when it discharged in a “safe direction”.
An unfortunate situation, but not surprising considering the poor standards of firearms training.
