The Territory’s Puma-branded service stations have been sold by Chevron Australia Downstream to Peregrine Corporation, which will also take over a related commercial supply and haulage business in the NT.
Petrol Plaza reported Peregrine Corporation subsidiary’s OTR had agreed to buy 17 service station sites, in a deal which is expected to be completed in March.
It also reported Mogas Regional — also owned by Peregrine Corporation — has also struck a deal to buy Directhaul, a related commercial supply and haulage business, and will collaborate with Chevron to distribute its products in the Territory.
The Territory-based Directhaul specialises in transporting dangerous goods, delivery services, fleet maintenance, and marine bunkering, and the company reported a revenue of $6 million in 2021.
The deal between the two companies is also expected to be completed by the end of the first quarter of this year.

Petrol Plaza reported Peregrine Corporation has operated for more than 30 years, and is South Australia’s largest private employer with more than 6,500 workers
“OTR aims to give guests the highest quality in convenience retailing with our award-winning fuel and food offers. Both openings will aid the company in affirming our commitment to investing in both cities by creating new jobs and becoming an integral part of the local community,” OTR chief operating officer Mark Smith said.
The Puma stations will sell fuel 24-hours a day, along with “barista-made” coffee, supermarket essentials, and branded items such as fresh drinks, sandwiches, and pastries.
