Police are investigating a suspicious house fire at the Bagot community Thursday night after a bedroom in the house was allegedly set on fire.
Fire crews and police were called to the community around 8pm, where they found the room fully ablaze.
The fire was reportedly quickly extinguished. Nobody was in the house at the time, police said.
It is still unclear how the fire started.
“Neighbours had attempted to put the fire out with garden hoses, and a number of witnesses are assisting police with their investigations,” said Detective Senior Sergeant Michael Budge.
