In the last week, the NT Government has awarded 43 contracts to a total value of close to $20.6 million. Of these, 38 contracts worth $20.2 million, were awarded to Northern Territory enterprises, and five contracts worth $373,000 were awarded to non-local businesses. The two biggest contracts were both in regional areas. One contract worth $5.4 million went to BMD Urban for civil works and construction for a subdivison in Pirlangimpi (formally known as Garden Point) on the Tiwi Islands.
Another contract worth $4.8 million went to Elite Interiors for drainage construction at a subdivision in Maningrida.
The two smallest contracts were $6,080 to GP Refrigeration for the supply and installation of three air conditioners, and a $9,180 contract that went to Quality Plumbing & Building for cleaning and resealing the fountain at Parliament House.
