Remote Territory residents will be able to sue the NT Government for failing to carry out public housing repairs, the High Court has ruled in a landmark decision that is expected to affect how governments provide public housing across the country.

The case was initiated by more than 70 households in Santa Teresa back in 2016, after they alleged the government did not repair a number of issues with their homes, including leaking sewage, unstable electricity, lack of hot water and no air conditioning.
