Environmental groups and traditional owners are urging Federal Environment Minister Tanya Plibersek to take legal action against Defence Housing Australia for alleged violations of federal environmental laws after NT authorities ended their investigation into alleged unlawful land clearing at Lee Point.
On November 15, lawyers from the Environment Centre NT and Environmental Justice Australia were informed that there would be no prosecution of the alleged unlawful clearing of land by DHA at Lee Point.
Tibby Quall was also involved in trying to stop Santos from building the gas pipeline past the Tiwi islands. The ECNT were using him for that too. They probably think Plibersek will be gullible enough to fall for this one too.
