A lack of ‘life experience’ is so obvious in both parties. Get Gerry to come back and entice Henry Gray to run for education minister. Let the wise, older independent politicians control our parliament including the existing sitting members. Then pass a bill that requires you to meet certain experience criteria before you are eligible to run for pre-selection. There is no strength, integrity, experience nor wisdom in either of our major parties (with a couple exceptions). The people who decide our futures should be of an age where they have lived the consequences of bad political decisions. Not a bunch of basically qualified, young, inexperienced, mostly lowly qualified, individuals who have already proven to be totally incompetent at adressing the issues facing the NT. The passing of Nat is not a win, the ones putting their hands up are part of the disastrous ALP that came to power due to a massive ‘green’ shift.
