Debris on roads is a factor that has caused some of our most tragic accidents. But the NT Police confirmed years ago that speed is their only priority and if they can reduce the speed all else will be less trauma so there no need to focus on unsecured loads and other factors. It has not worked has it. Its simply a tragic failure of one eyed focus on speed ever since we got the Territory Labor ever reducing speed limits and ever increasing fines.
More booze buses or speed camera’s in Darwin will do nothing to reduce fatal crashes which mostly happen on the open road, nor will it do anything about pissed pedestrians getting run over.
