Dr Marco Briceno has been appointed the new chief executive officer of the Department of Health following a national recruitment process, with plans to push through a restructure of the NT’s medical system.

Dr Briceno, who has been acting CEO for NT Health since October last year, has more than 20 years of experience as a medical practitioner and has held several leadership and management roles including as a systems manager and clinical positions in hospitals and primary health care organizations.
