Shahleena Musk has been announced as the new Northern Territory Children’s Commissioner, an appointment which follows the undisclosed payout of the previous commissioner Colleen Gwynne, whose charge of abuse of office was thrown out of court earlier this year.

Attorney General and Minister for Justice Chansey Paech announced the appointment of Larrakia woman Ms Musk into the role starting on January 22, saying she had more than 20 years experience as a lawyer and human rights advocate.
