NT Police are investigating a fatal crash south of Alice Springs on Sunday morning that claimed the life of a 52-year-old man who was riding with a group of motorcyclists in Deep Well.

The crash, that occurred along Maryvale Road, was reported around 10:40am, police said.

Investigators from the Major Crash investigation unit attended the scene, confirming the exact location where the man crashed his motorcycle.

The man was declared deceased at the scene.

Police said the man’s family have been notified and investigations into the cause of the crash remain ongoing, with a report to be prepared for the coroner.

The number of road deaths in the Northern Territory this year now stands at 20.
