UPDATED: NT Police have identified three male children, aged 10, 10 and 11, who police allege threw rocks at The Ghan as it was travelling through Alice Springs on Monday, smashing more than 20 windows and forcing the train to terminate its run at Alice to assess the damage.
Police said the incident, that inflicted “extensive damage” on the train, occurred around 2:10pm on Monday afternoon.
