Darwin mayoral candidate Sam Weston is standing behind an unproven sexual assault allegation he made against a former RSL committee member, despite the police having found no victim or evidence of wrongdoing and closing the case last year, while the subject of the allegation is out of pocket thousands of dollars in legal fees.
Dan Tellam, the former vice president of the Darwin RSL, says Mr Weston’s false allegation has caused him mental anguish, damaged his reputation and cost him more than $10,000 in legal fees to seek an apology and costs from Mr Weston in relation to the matter.
Cr Sam Weston is a stirrer and manipulative it seems, not worthy of leadership. Weston raised my name in a City of Darwin Council meeting after he took 119 pages of Facebook public comments from Amye Un Facebook page. As a senior woman I find this type of male behaviour threatening & identifies coercive control. I also have videos of his staff being personally verbally abusive whilst standing on a public road? Seems like union thuggery, typical of ALP or defence networking & part of a pattern of behaviour?
