  1. *radio call out*: Earth to ‘tough on crime’ supporters, Come In ‘tough on crime’ supporters. Over.

Clockwork Orange Boothby is not fit to be in Parliament controlling other people’s lives via her decisions.

She’s definitely not fit to be an Attorney General. In charge of appointing judges! Is there anyone in the NT, apart from the very quiet Professor Boofby, who thinks this is a good idea to have her in charge? Of anything?

We wouldn’t trust her to make us toast in the morning, never mind appoint judges.

However, she is the perfect poster child for the whole NT Government disaster we are having to endure right now.

They don’t care about conflicts of interest or cronyism or nepotism or corruption or transparency or any of the other basic level things that most citizens do care about.

Because they don’t have to care. We have a ‘once every 4 years’ voting system which guarantees this.

We allow unqualified muppets to hold important legal positions of power without having any legal qualifications or expertise.

    What other job does this?

We also have to be questioning why there are so many NT Government lawyers/SFNTs who are now working in the NT Court system.

Does this fill everyone with confidence that pro-NT Government legal people are going to be anything but that when that same Government promotes them to the bench with a hefty pay rise?

Sonia Brownhill is not the only one.

Craig Smyth is another problematic one.

Read NT Independent’s article about him and others:

‘Attorney-General mum on potential conflict with acting local judge appointment’

‘Ms Boothby further inexplicably said she was not aware that long-serving government lawyer and her staffer Craig Smyth was separately appointed as Acting Associate Justice of the Supreme Court this week.’

None of this would happen if

    were in charge of things.

  2. Right now there would be a lawyer tasked with finding a plausible reason for the DPP not to appeal who is questioning their life choices…

  3. 2015-25 Darwin NTG DPP is not independent & is used by networked judges & lawyers to target anyone who challenges the cabal who rule the NT. Evidence gets buried, privacy breached, NTG fax-payer money spent on lawyers to protect over-paid NTG senior executives jobs. Examples include the ‘twins’ who also use legacy media to character assassinate & cancel lives with click-bait headings which is now referred to domestic terrorism after the death of Charlie Kirk. Darwin ABC, Mix104.9 FM, NT News are part of the paid NTG establishment.

  4. Territorian(s) either now accept what they read . . . or reject. What is not acceptable is for we territorian(s) to wash our hands? There is no longer a future here in our NT for passive observation. Nor for a Federal Govt’s pretence that they are unaware?

  5. So, a 23yo who proved he knew exactly what he was doing and that he found it funny, gets leniency for a racist rage crime, but 10yo children must face the consequences of their actions, even if those kids have FASD and come from backgrounds of severe deprivation and trauma. What the ACTUAL f#%k?

  6. The one reality, permeation, of territory governance is that of a deeply embedded Legal fraternity? It is neither healthy or wise that such familial empowerment has concentrated within a singular political powerhouse. Such as Governance? Lord Acton, I believe, quoted: “Power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely”. Is that not part of our Territory malaise?
