A man was killed in a cement truck roll over at King Ash Bay on Thursday, NT Police said.

Police director of communication Mark Wilton said police were investigating after the cement truck rolled over while making a right turn onto Batten Road in King Ash Bay at an unspecified time on Thursday.

He said staff from a nearby health centre were among the the first to respond but despite their actions the 45-year-old truck driver died from injuries sustained in the rollover.

King Ash Bay is about 40km northeast of Borroloola,

NT WorkSafe has been notified, and local police are examining the circumstances surrounding the crash.
