NT Police are looking for witnesses to an assault in Darwin that left a victim with head injuries and being treated at Royal Darwin Hospital but the agency has given no details on the seriousness of his injuries.

NT government crime marketing manager Sita Bacher said in a statement the 50-year-old man was allegedly assaulted by another man on Tsolos Place, The Narrows sometime early Wednesday afternoon.

She did not say how serious the victim’s injuries were, what his condition was, or if a weapon was used in the attack.

But said detectives from Serious Crime were investigating and are urging anyone who witnessed the assault to call police on 131 444
