A 22-year-old male has been killed in a single-vehicle crash on the Roper Highway on Tuesday morning, NT Police said, marking another death on NT highways in recent weeks.

NT Police are currently investigating the fatal crash. They said the Joint Emergency Service Communications Center (JESCC) received a call around 9am this morning about a vehicle that had rolled over roughly 35 km north of the Jilkminggan access road.

The man was declared deceased at the scene and was the only victim, responding police officers and emergency personnel determined.

A crime scene has been declared, with the Roper Highway closed while investigations are ongoing.

Police are calling on anyone who was travelling along the Roper Highway between midnight and 8:30 am on October 17 who may have dash cam footage to contact police on 131 444, quoting reference number P23287182.
