A 47-year-old man was killed and another man was taken to hospital near Katherine overnight after an ATV rollover on a property in Cossack, NT Police said.

Police were notified of the rollover southwest of Katherine around 11:45pm.

The man, aged 47, was declared dead at the scene and another man, aged in his 30s, was taken to Katherine Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police are investigating the death.

“A crime scene has been declared as police investigate the circumstances of the incident,” said Detective Sneior Sergeant Paul Lawson.

St John Ambulance was also called to the scene last night.
