A 22-year-old man has had his charge upgraded to murder for allegedly stabbing a man in the chest in the Alice Springs city centre in May, NT Police said.
Police director of communications Mark Wilton said in a statement the charge has been upgraded following consultation with the Department of Public Prosecutions. The man was charged with acts intended to cause serious harm before his alleged victim died.
