A 40-year-old man has been charged after allegedly indecently touching and grooming a child under 16 during a holiday care program in the Darwin region, NT Police said.

NT Police Acting Commander Kirk Pennuto said the suspect, who was described as an “educator”, was arrested on Friday over the alleged offending on Wednesday and has since been charged with indecent touching or acts involving a child under 16, as well as grooming for sexual activity.
