Mad Snake Cafe owner Sam Weston has been elected as the new Lyons Ward councillor after a tight by-election race that came down to preferences.
Mr Weston narrowly defeated Greens candidate Suki Dorras-Walker, securing 53 per cent of the preferences after count 11, the NTEC said on Friday night.
Just a reminder to the new Alderman, Rates Rubbish and Lowering Rates is the mandate of the Council
-Not trips to CHina
-No signing documents with Chinese Authorities
-No spending rate payers money attracting investment from Chinese Billionaire (remember?)
-No junkets to other Sister Cities!
