I don’t see how putting forward a copy of the book to allow any areas of conflict to be reviewed can be construed as publishing.
Allowing any misKonceptions to be cleared up so that nothing can be miskonstrued on publication is a fair move by Antony. As a former politician that has remained in public positions you would expect that Kon is mature enough to wear criticism and own his mistakes or ‘errors in communication’s whether deliberate or unintentional.
This person needs to be voted out so Darwin can get a decent Mayor!

FFS Kon, it is you, by your actions and words, that has damaged your reputation. Just accept that you took an idea that was supposed to bring the community together and memorialise a hugely significant event in the history of Darwin and the lives of so many, and made a royal f-up of it. Stop wasting money on legal expenses that will never remove the mud from your reputation. Be a bigger person and just suck up the criticism.
People in Darwin have an opportunity to vote the current Darwin Lord Mayor out of office in July / August 2025. Contrary to the imputation of one letter-writer, fifty years survivors’ get-together is the sole prerogative of the actual survivors and under a democratic government, as constitutional expert Chresby put it in his famous book, “Our will should be done”. In my opinion, Anthony Bullock represents we survivors way better than the politicians, only one of whom has spoken out (and full kudos to Brian O’Gallagher). I have already vented my anger about the City Council hijacking of our event but I would like to draw attention to the fraud that is the “Coriolis”. The central theme of this and all the quoted ‘works’ of Phil Price is blatantly ‘He Koru’, the traditional Maori representation of the unfolding fern frond. This in no way reflects the terror or fury of Tracy and is a generic Kiwi design that also insults traditional Maori art. I will follow up on this in due course. But for now, I am fed up to the back teeth with a secretive and conniving city council that believes it owns ‘We, The People of Darwin’. Katskalis has betrayed us and lied to us and needs to go. If he don’t walk, push him.
Hi Tony, Of course as members of a civil society, having a civil conversation about a civil and civic matter, we can reasonably assume that the statement, “If he don’t walk, push him” is intended to be purely metaphorical, which is obvious to members of the Western European cultural idioms, while many other colourful comments from members of vibrant multicultural civilization of Darwin, often use metaphore and simile from a much broader palate of symbolic imaginings – backstabbing and frontstabbing not withstanding – which are also not to be taken literally despite their intensity and possible derivation from recent or proximal military or paramilitary or militia milieu , but may lend themself to politically expedient, but spurious and vexatious claims of being threatening, and then used to shut people out or down. I would call that very dishonest dealing. In my humble opinion.
