Dear Editor,
In her discussion on the new curfew legislation Chief Minister Eva Lawler has forgotten to mention her government scrapped scrutiny committees which meant legislation is now being rushed through instead of the public, the opposition, and independents having a chance to properly look at legislation.
Where’s the scrutiny on the curfew legislation? Open and transparent government is now an empty and meaningless cliche. If the CLP win government will they reintroduce scrutiny committees?
