Dear editor,
It’s February and it’s the middle of the wet season. It’s been raining all night as I write this.
Yet the other day I saw a strange phenomenon maybe even paranormal.
There in the bush along Howard Springs Rd, a sign was erected saying “hazard reduction in progress”.
Yes, some government contractors were trying to set fire to the bush.
This revolutionary process to burn wet and decomposing leaf litter, surrounded by green grasses everywhere was happening.
Obviously someone in government has a climate change calendar which shows it’s actually May.
Maybe the minister responsible could explain and by the way, say what it’s costing in matches?<
