The NT Supreme Court has dismissed an appeal by a Katherine man found guilty of groping a woman’s vagina on a red-eye Jetstar flight between Brisbane and Darwin.
Stuart Sheridan appealed a January 15 NT Local Court decision in which he had pleaded not guilty to count three, unlawful assault, by touching the woman’s vagina, and count four, unlawful assault by grabbing the woman’s vagina. He was acquitted on count three but convicted on count four, while two other original charges had been withdrawn.

A business owner in Katherine. Dirty creep has disgraced himself and humiliated his family. And likely further traumatised his victim dragging the case through court.
Stuart Sheridan — dirty creep. He has a son and daughter — I wonder how he would feel if someone did that to his daughter? He didn’t even have the decency to plead guilty and spare the victim the trauma of a court case. Hope the judge comes down hard. Women should be able to feel safe and free from harassment and assault on a plane! Do we now have to insist on an aisle seat just to have a quick escape? Thinking of the brave young woman who reported this and stood her ground through the whole process. ❤️
