Chief Minister-elect Lia Finocchiaro has pledged not to move the Police Commissioner or the Territory’s head public servant in order to ensure her “journey of change” includes the men currently occupying the crucial roles.

Ms Finocchiaro met with both on Sunday and met with NT Police Association president Nathan Finn on Monday to make all aware of her direction as the incoming Chief Minister. She has indicated she will assume the police portfolio, which has traditionally stayed with the chief minister.
