The NT Independent turns two years old today. It’s been a wild couple of years.

We’re proud of this online newspaper’s contributions to public life in the Northern Territory. We started this to make a difference and after thousands of stories over those two years, there’s no denying the NT Independent has made a difference.

Whether it’s exposing corruption in the public service and government, holding the powerful to account, pushing for the release of information that is in the public interest and bringing about anti-corruption investigations, we look back on these last two years with satisfaction that we’ve been able to accomplish what we set out to do.

But there’s much more work to do and the struggle to keep going remains real. There’s a lot of effort in certain circles to prevent us from getting your news to you. Your support helps us continue the fight.
