What a joke! Solar is cheap if it’s sourced from rooftops for free, or if the taxpayer sinks money into transmission and firming.
Second biggest con of the century after COVID,
How are we going to dispose of these panels when they fail?
first you come out with some crazy idea about pumping power to Singapore from the NT,then you build it,then you announce that the deal has fell through despite you having built the NT infrastructure, then the NT power mob says that your power cant be used here as we have our own issues and it will overload our system. So you let the infrastructure sit there depreciating all the time,It is only the “Australian Conservation Foundation said it expects will in part go toward connecting solar plants to the grid” saying they expect this to happen not any gov,So reading between the lines the mob who built the solar farms will be bailed out by “the gov” how to make money in the NT.
