EXCLUSIVE: NT anti-corruption commissioner Michael Riches has claimed there is “no substance” to serious allegations made by his estranged wife in a recent social media post accusing him of perpetrating domestic violence against her over a 10-year period.

The allegation – which has not been made or proven in court – has quietly been the subject of rumour in some legal and political circles in Darwin for months, but Mr Riches chose not to address the claims publicly or step aside from his role investigating corruption and other improper conduct in the NT to have the matter independently investigated.
