  1. Why are we wasting money in the ICAC if that is all we get. Seems more like he was paid to do a cover up.

    • ICAC NT is a honeypot created by the ALP NT to accumulate the complaints and kill off the whistleblowers!
The management and staff of ICAC NT have never done anything or prosecuted anyone.
      The Whistleblowers are all interstate!

To all you ALP Heavy weights (and I mean Heavy, join Jenny Craig or something)….there are Territorians who will never vote for Labor again!!!

  2. Let’s rename it, call it as it is: Ineffectual Commissioner Assisting Corruption.

ALP created it after they tried to exempt themselves let’s not forget so of course they made it useless.

CLP has the opportunity to make it into something that actually fights corruption but they don’t want that either. It’s better to keep it ineffectual to protect your own cronies and friends then blame the past Government.

The guy who tried to do a secret Government review of the ICAC Act was appointed the new Commissioner on $500k pa. CLP can replace him any time they like and put in someone genuinely independent. If that doesn’t happen it’s because they don’t want it to happen, not because they are not able to.

Why would you expose yourself and your mates to a proper corruption investigation if you didn’t have to?

What are voters/the population going to do about that for the next 4 years? Nothing. No one is going to protest because no one cares and they know it.

  3. Now ICAC senior employees are transitioning to roles in NTG agencies which means the rotation of inefficiency is staring to spread.

No point trying to starve the NT of corruption as it will go nowhere.

    Happy days for the Ministers.
