The head of Royal Darwin Hospital advised Territory divers in mid-December to reconsider diving activities because the hospital could not offer emergency recompression treatments due to the hyperbaric chamber unit being shut, while the Health Department will not say when it closed, why, or when it may re-open.
A letter from RDH acting general manager Dr Sara Watson, seen by the NT Independent, dated December 13, was sent to diving companies, local governments, the Australian Defence Force, NT Police, and other organisations, a source said.

Medical Services are being cut whilst we have:

I wait with baited breath what other medical services will be cut!!
