Hip-hop artists Hilltop Hoods will feature at this year’s Bass in the Grass outdoor concert, with the government announcing the initial 18 acts in the line-up which includes international artists.
The event will be held at Mindil Beach on May 17, and playing along with the Hilltop Hoods, who have recently released a new single The Gift, will be Jax Jones and house duo Jaded, both acts from the United Kingdom, as well as Nigeria’s Kah-Lo.
Northern Territory DJ and producer Cyril will also perform as will Hot Dub Time Machine, Meg Mac, The Jungle Giants, The Amity Affliction, and folk-pop duo The Dreggs.
The other acts announced are: Baby J; Hope D; Jazmine Nikitta; Latifa Tee; LUUDE; Old Mervs; The Rions; and 3%.
Major Events Minister Marie-Clare Boothby said there were 12 artists appearing at the concert for the first time, and that there would be more local acts announced closer to the event.
The Bassment stage is returning for electronic dance music fans, which will be headlined by Australian electronic dance music producer, LUUDE.
There will also be a silent disco, and premium tickets will offer priority access, exclusive areas, VIP-only bars and amenities, and a new addition, Bass Camp, will offer a variety of activities for parents and young people.
General Admission tickets cost $135. Once sold out, final release tickets will be available for $155. Refresh premium tickets cost $250, Bass Camp tickets cost $250 for adults and $50 for children, and Oasis tickets cost $350. Children aged 13 and under are admitted free in general admission areas with a paying adult.
