Making the ever-suffering taxpayer fund those who seek to harm the taxpayer’s ability to earn an income is an insult beyond compare. This is a good move by the CLP and I hope they go further by making the economic vandals stand on their own merit.
When every government development decision is challenge by a taxpayer funded organisation after all of the legal and environmental hurdles have been covered, we are being undermined and losing support from investors. The NT has been going backwards for decades. Our power generation facilities are barely sufficient to survive. The gas turbines were installed at Hudson creek and gave use a safety margin of around 30% of demand. An unexpected fault would plunge Darwin into blackout. It is time for government to get things moving.
While they are at it our health system is a shambles. PRH was built without a budget to run it and as a result RDH has been drained of resources.
Seriously, you criticise the government bit still want them to fund you 🤦🏼♀️
The Government may want to also do away with canvassing complaints for construction developments!
One inner city residential development notice garnered complaints from the northern suburbs all the way from humpty doo.
Another inner city residential development notice development received complaints as far as Katherine.
I am confident the CLP Government will keep cutting red tape and get the economy going again!
A serious cut is needed in a number of places, it can be reviewed in the future.
