The Fyles Government has advertised for the next police commissioner through a recruitment firm, after the controversial and early end to Jamie Chalker’s tenure as the top cop, with speculation the government already has its favourites lined up locally.

An advertisement on a government website shows the role of Commissioner of Police and Chief Executive Officer Fire and Emergency Service comes with a four-year contract, with applications from budding top cops to be sent through Davidson Recruitment, closing on June 26.
