A woman has died and three people, including an 11-month-old boy, were injured in a single vehicle rollover north of Tennant Creek on Wednesday NT Police have said.
Police spokesman Rob Cross said in a statement the crash happened on the Stuart Highway to a single vehicle rollover 55km north of Tennant Creek near the Gibson and South Haywood Creeks before 10:25am.
He said emergency services were alerted by motorists, with two passengers, a 14-year-old boy and the 11-month-old boy, were taken to the Tennant Creek Hospital. The teen had non-life threatening injuries while the baby was being flown Alice Springs Hospital, police said in the release about 4.30pm. They did not give a condition of the infant.
Mr Cross said a 21-year-old female passenger died at the scene while the 19-year-old male driver was taken to the Tennant Creek Hospital.
He said the Major Crash Investigation Unit are investigating but no further information was available.
