Electric vehicle sales in the Northern Territory went up by 290 per cent in the first half of this year, new data released by the Motor Trade Association shows, meanwhile the sales of the Territory’s big selling vehicle model was double that of its nearest competitor.

Association chief executive officer Darrell Jacobs said more affordable EVs, a wider choice of models, and batteries providing longer driving range, had attracted more buyers.
